Wow. This time it's more than a year since my last post and I forgot my id and password again. Nice. Anyway, geocities has announce ages ago that they are closing down their web hosting servers soon, so I will finally be changing my website address after so many years of staying here... and delaying moving my site. My blog will not change, but if I have the time (or willingness) to do it, I might try merging my blog into my website instead of opening into a new page.
I should really stop this once a year posting habit, but I'm too lazy to log into blogspot. I'm only posting because geocities is shutting down. Uni's bloody boring and far and worse than jc in every way. I don't know what the heck lihua did, but my timetable is pack 4 days full and the only half day I have I spend 2/3 of the time travelling. Add the time needed to do all the tutorials and I feel like studying even lesser. Not that it makes much difference since I already don't feel like studying anyway... Then again, studying all the way to jc then going out to do temp admin work for the rest of my life is rather dumb too. Sian

Alright, the new layout has gone up, but there are still bugs.

Rundown of the past week: I threw up in school, skipped the crosscountry, got a flu, and O lvl results are likely to come out on Tuesday. So xuanqi might lose her bet with our form teacher. Say, if results are coming out on Tues, then how are those ex-Sec 4 who are going to help in this year's Sec 3 camp gonna get their results? Looks like they have to return to school in the middle of the camp. Haha.

My classmate from primary school tried to swamp me on Sunday, at 2100. Half an hour later my mum was nagging for me to go to bed while I was trying to copy all my ex-classmates' MSN names... Couldn't my classmate gave them a little earlier... I got about 5 to 10 of them, some of which I don't even remember, and one was from the next class. They were sure surprised when I add them into my contact.

Wednesday, told my mum about my marks when she came back. What she say? "Aiyo, your marks so bad, how to go JC? Aiya, go poly lar." Reason for her change of mind: "Later you go JC, cannot score well for 'A' lvl, then do what? Don't tell me go poly after that!" Actually, I was thinking of that long ago...

Thursday, firstly no P.E., next, apparently someone repaired the library air-con, because everyone at my table was freezing by the time Ms Lam came in, so we eventually ask her to turn up the temperature... Thirdly, I almost lost my voice thanks to my cough.

Friday, still haven't fully regain my voice, cough so much that I finished one bottle of water before recess and one after. And F4-1 was amazing. Only 18 people had come! Wow. Hey, how about the WHOLE class not coming? ^.^ Wonder what the teachers will say.

I'm sure bloody unlucky. Remember what is the first thing "Aminah" told us we need to do while revising for exams? Other than revising, dolt. Exercise, or rather, excercise. -_- yes I know it's lame. On Sunday, I played badminton with someone, went back home, and fell sick with sore throat and fever a few hours later.

Monday, I have to sit in a freezer for hours (from 1100 to 1340). Went back home and my fever reared its nasty head again...

Tuesday, my cough started while my throat is still sore... boo hoo... and we spent the whole day staring at teachers, well, those students that didn't "ponten" anyway.

Wednesday, we got back our results today. Got a horrible score for L1R5. I don't think I can go into JC, in fact I don't know if I want to go JC for the first three months. If I go poly, my mum won't be happy... 'cos she want at least one of us (meaning me, since there are only two and I'm the youngest) to go JC, instead of both going poly.

Thursday, no I can't predict the future, but one thing is confirmed. NO P.E.!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! WHY OUR CLASS SO SUAY?!?!?! Not fair, why they have to take away our only time for playing? Staring at the teachers the whole day (especially in a freezer) very boring leh... (no offense to teachers)

My brother has a large collection of models (which are collecting dust in turn...). This is his room:

Uni says you have to go to a shop to spray paint the models, not true. My brother paints all his models himself:

And contary to popular sibling beliefs, my brother and I don't have to argue or quarrel with each other, we compromise. In fact, we often cover for each other. lol
He taught me how many things, like how to play chinese chess, and he even let me play with him on his chess board/box. I think he built this for upper sec D&T coursework:

In fact, he let me build my own Magic deck once I understood enough. But he didn't have all the cards, so all our decks have some "fake" cards:

His decks have more scrapes of paper then mine, and I'm not sure if his deck have any non-tournament cards, but my don't have. His favourite deck has a lot of cards with flying and protection from said color, so I seldom win when if I use my favourite single-color deck. However, my deck contain enough tricks for a game to last at least 30 minutes. The picture in my profile is actually Dauthi Slayer, a 2/2 shadow, black.

So... What a nice brother eh? And uni, no, I don't bully him, so no need to get jealous. Why should I bully him anyway? I certainly don't want him to become mean.

The only novel there is Sea god of the west (or is it east?), which is number 5, somewhere in the center. But of course you need the password. On Thursday, the bloody modem blew. I came back from school to find the old modem dismantled and laying on the floor in my father's room. There was a black patch on the metal piece inside. I dunno what the heck happened. My father had went to get a new one, but it is also giving trouble... Sigh.

On Monday, our first period teacher mentioned about certain social issues. She then mentioned that she recently saw several (or is it many?) gohkah (dunno how to spell) guards outside an american club, and they were carrying machine guns. Apparently she had never seen anyone carrying weapons since she was in seoul more than 10 years ago. At that time she was really frighten -- that one of the soldiers/guards might accidentally drop his weapon and it will discharge and hit someone. lol Obviously she had too much imagination and watched too many shooting movies.
Firstly, they are soldiers and are trained. They don't drop their weapons easily, if they do, they'll likely get hell from their superiors. Secondly, if they did drop (a NS recruit did that once during a parade, I wondered if he got chewed out), there is something call a safety. If it's on, the weapon cannot fire.
This is funnier still: I really wanted to tell her to go to Pulau Tekong if she wants to go offshore to an extremely safe place with no sight of machine guns or sub-m. But with her crankiness (she was calling people who speak up uncalled for rude), I decided I would be safer keeping quite and imagining her expression if she ever sets foot on Pulau Tekong.

To a particular stick-in-the-mud: I'm not being critical. This is just my bad sense of humor.

PS. For girls who don't know (boys should or will know), Pulau Tekong is the training center for NS recruits. You won't see subs or machine guns... ... ... you'll see rifles. ^.^

Lihua, I did comment on your blog. As for your forum, maybe I should tell your sister you are using the network line... As for the poor ball, well, I can't say anything. And as for your new layout, I'll go check it out when I have time, say maybe next century. As for playing against you and your prediction of losing to me, didn't you say your primary school CCA is mini-tennis? Well, my is choir, so I'll say its more likely that I will lose.

Speaking of friday, I didn't see any F4-1 choir members, with exception of myself, on friday. Choir ended at 1800 hrs instead of 1830 hrs. Ms Loh decided to let us off early. Yeah. After choir, I walked around to our class block. Amazing. F4-2's classroom's lights are still on. Wow. So what time did Ms Lam's lecture ended? 1900 hrs? Heh. That's what you get from trying to pon choir (with referrence to Yingling's absence).

My arm's still sore. From the tennis racket's torture on wednesday and from Lay Lian's torture on friday. WeiEn joined our badminton game yesterday, making it two against one against laylian. After a break, he suddenly turn around to play against me! Sneaky little kid...
Ms Ng S. Y. played against some of the Sec 2s. I tried to get her to play against LayLian, but she say no, apparently because she think LayLian so 'li hai'. Sigh...
Victor and JunQuan was playing tennis, but I doubt they would want us to join them. Boys. Always looking down on girls, unless we are big size like Laylian, then they tease us instead. *rolls eyes*

I got a solution to my little tennis problem. Laylian is really annoying, always giving the excuse that mdm sng is not her teacher but mine, so it should be me who's asking. So next time laylian wants me to ask mdm sng if we can borrow the rackets, I'll either make her ask, or attach a condition -- that she''l have to play against mdm sng. Lets see what she's gonna do.

P.S. I can only post on the weekends and possibly on mondays and thursdays, because I use the pc only on those days.

Yeah, finally got someone to abandon the idea of playing tennis with me. I played tennis for over an hour with LayLian and all I can say is, I was right in saying I can't really play tennis. The bloody racket is too heavy.
Lay Lian also hit 2 balls out of the court. One went to the PIE and the other, fortunately, was still in school grounds. Not to mention quite a lot bounced off the top of the court wall.
After playing, Lay Lian said she doesn't want to play tennis anymore. YEAH!!! But also a pity. I still want to see her against mdm sng.

Sigh... LayLian suddenly told me during lunch today that she still wants to play tennis (WITH ME!!!). Spoilt my happy mood. I was looking forward to blogging yesterday and this morning. Now this. Sigh... And, soooooooooooooo unfortunate, she's too shy and doesn't want to play against mdm sng. She wanna play against ME!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! HELP! Why does this school have to have a tennis court?

Second last day of December. Sigh.

I've completed some compos. Well... depending on how you want to define them, but I'll just call them compos. I understand what Mdm Sng and Mr Chia wanted from the compos, and I must state that I do not intend to be calculative or complaining, although some of my compos seem to indicate so. Some of my compos are nonsense, exaggerating and not true, although two of them are based mostly on real facts. (Figure out which is which yourself.)
I have to thank Jencen for giving me the idea for my compos.

11 (b). My unlucky day.

My unlucky day was the last day of holiday lessons. During the five days, a nice pile of homework was accumulated. It had rained that day. I slipped on the road, and to add insult to injury, I dropped all the notes and worksheets I was holding, the result being they were soaked through, and I also accidentally tore a few of them.

10 (a). Taking the wrong bus in error.

On my way back home that day, preoccupied with the load of homework, I accidentally took the wrong bus. My mind was so muddled that I ended up changing bus eight times before managing to return to a place where I am familiar with. By the time I reached home, four hours had passed and I was thoroughly pissed off.

27 (b). “I did not know what happiness was until…”

I did not know what happiness was until I combined the thoughts of shredding my notes and worksheets, reading my way through a nice large pile of books, deliberately distorting the purpose of the composition homework given by Mr. Chia, creating and writing nonsensical, highly exaggerated and often not true single paragraphed so-call compositions, thinking how exasperated and annoyed everyone will be, and laughing my head off at all these thoughts.

37 (a). A difference of opinion.

Mr Chia, with the intention of either torturing us or simply because he thinks this holiday composition homework is useful to improving our English, wants us to write tons of compositions during the holidays. However, I decided to make his plans backfire with the help and idea our English teacher inadvertently gave me. Our kind teacher has agreed to reduce the minimum number of compositions required to be submitted, and has also given everyone the choice of submitting either in written form after school reopens or in our blogs during our school holidays. The latter option allowed me to interpret Mr Chia's assignment differently. Thus, these compos are now here.

YIPPEE!!! Just went to Orchard Library today, and found that from 31 November to don't know when January, the number of books one is allowed to borrow has been doubled. So instead of 4 books, I can borrow 8. Now I've got a nice pile of books to keep me company. So long, homework! =P Just kidding... But those books are definately better companions than textbooks and homework.

Apparently the competition date for our school is 10 December. And lihua claims that they got a Silver C! Yeah. Still better than a Bronze, lihua. And this does prove our choir is a baby choir... still need a strict instructor, then can do well.

3 December 2005 - Mdm Sng's going, & someone's coming back.

Its not yet a millennium, but ah well... who cares? Hahaha. My brother is sleeping so I get to use the computer. He's in NS, so since he only comes home every weekend, I have to let him use the pc. But what he ususlly does is just play games and inadvertably try to crash the pc. That idiot. And after his BMT passing out parade on the 6th (this explains the title I hope), he will be on a 10 day leave until he receives his posting. I pity the pc.

Actually, I usually read many books simultanous when the book I'm reading is boring. The record lihua and I are talking about is this (as lihua phrase it. It's in the previous post comments): "I'm trying to break her record of reading so many books."
This does not include newspapers and magazines. First, I don't read magazines. I'm not the type to be obsessive over a picture. And magazines can't really be counted right? Especially since those magazines lihua read have tons of pictures and few words. Second, I usually don't have every single day's newspaper. Maybe I should try thinking of ways to insult daniel, but since he is a real person, I'm not going to. Harry Potter is not real, so I can insult him all I like. And I like to see you try to even find the AREA where I live in, lihua (I'm sure you can't). Yes, yes, I know I live in Singapore...

As for my phrase book, I thought of copying wholesale from the dictionary because it is difficult to find words that can be put into my phrase book. Not to mention I usually ended up reading that book instead of looking for words. Sometimes I learn new words or phrases but am too lazy to note it down. I suppose that's why my spelling (and occasionally pronuciation) is absymal. Though if I see a word frequent enough I may remember it.

I know about the Library at Orchard. Many books I search up can be found there, but my mother want one of my parents to accompany me. So I have yet to go there.

Lihua, you say you learn a new word: bumbershoot. There is no such word, and I seriously doubt the markers will be impressed. Besides, why complicate things? An umbrella is an umbrella.
And be careful you don't turn into a blundering idiot that bumbles on and go bumbling about (see if you can figure that out). ;P

First of all, I like to say my myopia problem is due to BOTH playing games and reading. I can, at times, read finish 1 to 2 books a day. But ever since my degree shot up, I'm limiting myself, besides, the Geylang East library is running ouut of interesting books, or rather, has ran out of... And Li Hua, reading 6 harry potter books in a week then not reading for the rest of the month does not count if you trying to compete, and I'm not rereading the books that I normally read. (You can never break my record).
Secondly, mdm sng... the problem is that I DON'T take a break when I'm reading. And lately, due to the lack of paper books, I'm also reading e-books, which means I have to look at the computer. I can also start on at least 2 books. On 27 Nov (my previous post), I had already started on 3 books - 2 library books and 1 ebook. So, Li hua, what have you got to say?
Thirdly, my large jumps in eyesight degree was when I was aroung Pr5 and Pr6. At that time, I hardly played any computer games. In fact, the pc could hardly support many games. And at that time, I read a lot, especially during the holidays, thats why li hua can never beat my highest record. Now I'm trying to taper down the stress on my eyes, so forget about future competions.
I don't have to go to lihua's blog to laugh my head off. Her obsession with Harry (hairy) Otter (lol) is rather amusing. And the alteration of harry's name is also rather amusing (especially when I imagine someone's reaction...). I'm still wondering when my friend is gonna call me for a game (sports, not pc!). She said she will call me to play badminton, but its nearly 2 weeks. Maybe I'll just call her.

And mdm sng, you have yet to answer this question: can I just simply go through the dictionary, then write down the words that I do not know in my phrase book?

I'm itching to continue my reading, just decided to put it off a while to take a look at my blog. Maybe I'll continue some other time, see you next millennium...

Jeez.. I can't believe I fell into my stupid old habit again. I just read finish 3 books last week, and am now reading two others. I haven't started my bio and maths, haven't done any re zi, done two compre halfway only, haven't completed last week's chinese copying, and am an entire week behind in my vocab log book. Great, if my mother finds out she's gonna start yelling her head off.
Actually, I kinda bored. I suppose I missed having CCA practices during the holidays. Li hua says there are too many practices, but I don't think so. But then, I've never been one to be able to sit still in front of a textbook for long (not like someone). In fact, I can never be stil when I'm bored. I'm always told to stop shaking *laughs*. So there goes Lihua's description of me.

Every time I start my vocab log book, I ended up reading my book (more excuse for my mother to start yelling) instead of looking for words. Mdm Sng, can I just simply go through the dictionary, then write down the words that I do not know? That would certainly be much more easier and faster.
And please don't say reading is good, mdm sng. How good is reading if you have to change your glasses every half to one year?

I had trouble with maple lately, mainly due to all that server and patcher updating. I think I'll have to reinstall the whole thing.
Just went to braingle, and got a big shock. There was a score board in one of the games, and some time ago I finally managed to overtake the first person. Recently, two others took over, one of them was the former 1st, now he's 2nd at $6,558,633 and I'm 3rd at $5,972,000+ (it keeps changing because i'm still playing). That I don't mind, but the current 1st, some unknown crazy fellow from I don't know where, just somehow pushed his networth to $10,486,548!!! How the hell did he do that?! He was only about 7 million plus just 2 days ago! Wish I knew how he did that.

I'm feeling too lazy to do anything except read. So I guess this means my site will rot for another year. I don't suppose I can also let my homework rot as well?

Until now I still don't really trust maple. I use to play ragnarok, but now no longer. It was free at first, but later they introduce payments. Since both maple and ragnarok are malaysian games (or at least hq in malaysia), I don't think I'll bother investing in maple. I'll just stick to earning by killing monsters. Maple is easier to lvl up, but the stupid right-left scroll screen makes it extremely hard to avoid monsters. And I got tricked by a bloody idiot, wasted 3500 mesos. Wonder who's the idiot, me or him.

Mdm Sng says we can put up our compos in our blog, then we don't have to hand in on paper, correct? If so, don't scream, mdm sng... ;p

By the way, Tobias is my brother. I did not spell Tobie's name wrongly. CCS stands for CardCaptor Sakura. And yes, my brother created that pinky (was it pink?) site. It's actually quite nice - the site, not the color!

Might as well do this now. I was thinking of using part of my website as a blog, but I figure out that I will have a headache, so I decided to take the easy way out. I have to agree that Mdm Sng's attempt to get us to write in live journal fell flat, and I can't help wondering if this will too. I was initially thinking of just writing one sentence, " I declare this post to be my post for this week", but I rather save the trouble of others having to yell at me (and me having to listen), so I'll just add a couple more lines.
